I don’t know where to put all of my anger today.


Thanksgiving is going to be incredibly strange this year. Not only will I not have my annual reunion with my friends, but my dad and step-mom have also separated. I have very mixed feelings on this issue seeing as how my step-mom and I did not have the easiest time growing up together, but we finally started to develop a solid relationship.

This is the first year that my dad is not cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I am incredibly sad about this because he always make the best food and switches it up every year. Instead, we will go to my grandpa’s house this year and try to hold down his food.

I thought this divorce would be easy because I’ve been through it before. It’s really not. I will not see my stepsister this Thanksgiving as she will probably travel to see her divorced parents.

I will keep trying to stay positive about this, but as the holidays continue to near, I cannot help but think about how strange it is going to be this year.

It has always been a tradition for my close group of friends from high school to get together every Thanksgiving break. This is the first year we won’t be able to do it. Rob has moved to North Carolina, Richard’s family moved to Seattle, and Eric’s moved to Georgia. It’s incredibly sad that I won’t get to see this lovely group of people this year. I look forward to the day we can all reunite again!

Erol and I were just saying we wanted to buy a few new awesome ceramic mugs like this.  I can never turn down supporting a good cause so I will have to buy a few from this!

Applying to law school might be the death of me.

But, I am so excited.

I’m also applying for my dual MPA. I am going to study abroad while obtaining my dual MPA/JD. I will go to Spain, England, and who knows where else. I will go to Turkey with Erol. But, that is whenever we decide to get married since it is a gift from his family.

So, we really need to set a date…I am not into the real wedding scene.  I don’t want to put on a white gown and walk down an aisle so people can stare at me.

I truly need help planning this.

Oh, and have I mentioned how absurd it is to spend so much $$ on one day?
